I bought my bike from another seller. Where can I get spare parts?
We can only help with bikes bought from shengmilo.co.uk.
If you bought your bike on Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, Facebook Marketplace or any other website, we can't help with parts, warranty or questions – even if the seller used the Shengmilo name. Please contact the seller, or look for parts on the manufacturer's factory website.
The quickest way to get your part:
Find your model name. It's printed on the frame or in your order from the seller (for example MX02S, MX04, MX06, MX20, S600).
Or ask the seller you bought it from – they're responsible for your warranty and parts.
Lots of standard parts (tyres, inner tubes, brake pads, chains, pedals, cassettes) are also sold by ordinary bike shops. Take the old part with you so they can match it.

I bought my bike from you. How do I order a spare part?
Send us a message with:
your order number
the part you need
a photo of the part, and of any label or number on it
We'll check which part fits your bike and send you the price and delivery time. If your bike is under warranty and the part is faulty, it's free.
Chargers, batteries and accessories in stock are in our accessories shop.

Do you still sell parts for older models (MX series, old S600)?
We sell the current models: S600 PRO, S700 PRO and S900 PRO. For some older models we still have a few parts, such as batteries and chargers – check our accessories shop first.
If your part isn't listed, try the manufacturer's factory website.
If you bought the older model from us, get in touch with your order number and we'll do our best to track the part down.

Can I buy a spare or replacement battery?
For an S600 PRO, S700 PRO or S900 PRO bought from us: yes. Spare batteries are listed in our accessories shop when in stock. If you can't see the right one, send us your order number and we'll tell you when it's available and what it costs.
Make sure the battery matches your bike. Batteries differ in voltage (48 V or 60 V), size and connector, even between models that look alike. A battery for the old S600 (17.5 Ah) is not the same as the S600 PRO battery (25 Ah).
For other or older models: see the manufacturer's factory website.

My charger is lost, broken or out of stock. Which charger can I use?
Always use a charger made for your battery's voltage:
48 V battery (S600 PRO, S700 PRO and most older models): charger with 54.6 V output
60 V battery (S900 PRO): charger with 67.2 V output
The plug must also match the socket on your battery. If you're not sure, send us a photo of your battery label and charging socket.
Never use a charger with a different voltage. It can damage the battery and is a fire risk.

Where can I get tyres and inner tubes in 26 × 3.0?
26 × 3.0 inch fat tyres and inner tubes are standard sizes. You can buy them in most bike shops and online bike stores. Search for "26 x 3.0 tyre" or "26 x 3.0 inner tube" (also written as 75-559).
Getting a lot of punctures? Choose a tyre with puncture protection or a thicker casing, and keep the right pressure (written on the side of the tyre). Too little pressure is the most common cause of punctures.

Where do I find my frame number or serial number?
The frame number is stamped into the frame, usually underneath near the pedals, or on the rear part of the frame. Give the area a clean if it's hard to read.
Worth noting it down and keeping a photo – your insurer or the police will ask for it if the bike is ever stolen. If you bought from us and can't find it, get in touch with your order number and we'll check our records.
For bikes bought from another seller, please ask that seller – we don't have their records.

Can I ride my Shengmilo on UK roads?
No. In Great Britain, an electric bike only counts as a normal pedal bike (an EAPC) if its motor is 250 W or less and stops helping at 15.5 mph. Our bikes have 2000 W (the S900 PRO 3000 W), so they're not classed as e-bikes on the road.
Limiting the speed or switching off the throttle doesn't change that, because the motor power stays the same.
Our bikes are for private land only – your own land, or land where you have the owner's permission. Not public roads, cycle paths, pavements or bridleways. The GOV.UK electric bike rules explain it in full.

Can I register, tax or insure it as a moped (DVLA)?
No. To use a powerful e-bike on UK roads, it would need to be type-approved as a moped and then registered and taxed with the DVLA, with a number plate, insurance and a licence. Our bikes don't have that type approval (no COC), so they can't be registered, and we can't provide the documents.

Do you have a COC (Certificate of Conformity) for the DVLA?
No. A COC is only issued for vehicles with type approval, such as mopeds. Our bikes don't have type approval, so there's no COC and they can't be registered with the DVLA.
If you bought from us, we can send you the CE Declaration of Conformity. That's a product safety document, not a road approval.

Can I buy one through the Cycle to Work scheme?
Unfortunately not. Cycle to Work schemes are for bikes you can ride to work on public roads – in the UK that means standard e-bikes up to 250 W and 15.5 mph. Our bikes are far more powerful and for private land only, so they don't qualify, and we can't take part in these schemes.
cycle to work scheme cyclescheme salary sacrifice grant subsidy bonus employer 250WWhere to ride & documents
Do the bikes have a throttle?
Yes. All our bikes have a thumb throttle, so the motor can drive the bike without you pedalling. They also have pedal assist with 5 levels.
On UK roads, a bike with a throttle that works without pedalling isn't allowed as a normal e-bike – another reason our bikes are for private land only.

The factory settings can differ between production batches, so check the speed limit setting (08P on the S600 PRO and S700 PRO, P08 on the S900 PRO) when your bike arrives.
Please note: a lower setting doesn't make the bike road legal, because the motor power stays the same.

Can I get a discount?
Yes, two ways to save:
A discount when you pay by card. Choose card payment at checkout and it's taken off automatically – you'll see the amount in your order summary.
A welcome code for your first order when you join our email list. It arrives by email straight away.
Our website prices are already our best prices, and we don't haggle on single bikes. Codes from other websites or our EU shops don't work here.
I want to buy 2 or more bikes. Is there a better price?
Yes. For 2 or more bikes to the same address, we can put together a special offer. Get in touch with the models, how many bikes and your postcode, and we'll send you a quote.
Yes – Klarna and Clearpay are available at checkout. They're separate payment companies: they pay us for your bike, and you pay them back over time.
How it works:
Add the bike to your basket and go to checkout.
Choose Klarna or Clearpay as the payment method.
Follow the steps. If you don't have an account yet, it's set up there and then.
They show you the plans they can offer you and do a quick check.
Once approved, your order is paid and we send your bike. You manage your payments in their app.
Good to know:
You must be 18 or over and live in the UK.
Klarna and Clearpay decide who is approved and which plan you get. We can't approve, extend or change a plan, and we can't see why you were declined. For questions about your plan, contact them directly.
Only borrow what you can afford to pay back. Missed payments may affect your credit score.
Declined? You can still pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or bank transfer.
We don't offer our own finance or credit. More on our Klarna & Clearpay page.

Which payment methods do you accept?
Debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, Clearpay and bank transfer. You'll see everything that's available at checkout.
Paying by card gets you a discount, shown at checkout. With bank transfer, we send your bike as soon as the money arrives, usually within 1–2 working days.

My payment failed or was declined. What should I do?
This happens quite often with bigger amounts like a bike. If a payment fails, no money is taken – and if your bank shows a temporary hold, it drops off by itself. Try these steps:
Have your banking app open. Most banks ask you to approve large online payments in the app or with a text code. If you don't approve it within a few minutes, the payment fails.
Check your card limit. Many cards have a daily or online limit below the price of a bike. You can usually change it in your banking app.
Try another card, for example a credit card instead of a debit card.
Klarna or Clearpay declined? Only they can change that decision – we can't see the reason.
Still stuck? Pay by bank transfer. It always works. Choose "Bank transfer" at checkout and you'll get our bank details. We send your bike as soon as the money arrives.
Need a hand? Get in touch and tell us which payment method you tried.

Do your prices include VAT? Can I get a VAT invoice?
Yes, all our prices include VAT. If you need a VAT invoice, get in touch with your order number and we'll arrange one for you.
Want your company name on the invoice? Enter it in the "Company" field at checkout. We can't sell without VAT.

Can I choose the delivery day or delay delivery?
Write your request in the order notes at checkout, or get in touch straight after ordering. We'll do our best to send it later so it arrives when you're in.
The courier decides the exact day, so we can't promise a specific date. They may text or ring you to arrange it, so check your mobile number at checkout.

My display shows an error code. What should I do?
An error code means the bike found a problem with a connection or a part. The codes depend on your display. See the exact list here:
Turn the bike off, wait 30 seconds and turn it on again.
Check the brake levers. If a brake lever is slightly pulled or stuck, the motor stops and some displays show an error. Make sure both levers spring back fully.
Check the cables and plugs between the handlebar, the frame and the motors. Turn the bike off first, unplug, look for bent pins or water, and plug them in firmly again.
Charge the battery fully and make sure it is locked in place.
Check the wheels turn freely. A rubbing brake disc or a loose motor cable can cause errors.
Still showing the code? Get in touch with your order number, the error number and a short video of the display.
Charge the battery fully. The charger light should change colour when it's full.
Check the battery is locked in and the key is turned to ON. Some batteries also have their own power button.
Check the battery contacts for dirt, water or damage.
Hold the display power button for 3–5 seconds.
Check the plug between the display and the frame.
Still not working? Contact us with your order number and a video showing what happens when you try to turn it on.

The throttle works, but pedal assist doesn’t (or the other way round).
Pedal assist not working:
Check the assist level on the display is not set to 0.
The pedal sensor sits next to the pedals, with a small magnet ring. Check it isn't damaged, dirty or moved away from the sensor, and that its cable is plugged in.
Throttle not working:
Check the throttle cable plug on the handlebar.
Check both brake levers spring back fully. A pulled brake lever switches off the motor.

Only one motor works on my dual-motor bike. Is that normal?
Yes, on the S600 PRO and S700 PRO you can choose which motor drives the bike. Press and hold the + button for 3 seconds to switch the drive mode:
P1 – front motor only
P2 – rear motor only
P3 – both motors (dual drive)
The display shows DUAL, SINGLE b (rear) or SINGLE F (front). If the bike is set to one motor, only one wheel pulls. That is normal.
If you have selected dual drive and the front motor still does not work, turn the bike off and check the motor cable plug near the front wheel. Still not working? Get in touch with a short video.
The S900 PRO has one 3000 W rear motor, so there is nothing to switch.

My range has dropped a lot. Why?
Range depends on lots of things. Check these first:
Cold weather cuts battery range by up to 30% – very noticeable in a British winter. It comes back when it's warmer.
Tyre pressure: soft tyres use much more energy.
Throttle use and high assist levels use the most energy.
Battery age: all lithium batteries slowly lose capacity over the years.
If the battery gets very hot, smells of burning or swells, stop using and charging it immediately and get in touch.
range dropped battery drains fast short range coldTroubleshooting
My chain rubs or the bike makes noises.
New bikes often need small adjustments after the first few rides, as parts settle:
Chain rubbing: the rear derailleur needs adjusting. Any bike shop can do this in a few minutes.
Squeaking brakes: clean the discs with isopropyl alcohol, and check the brake callipers are centred.
Clicking or creaking: check the pedals, handlebar, seat post and wheel axles are tight.
We recommend a quick check at a local bike shop after the first 60–120 miles.
Check the plug of the light and the cable along the frame.
Make sure the lights are switched on in the display (often by holding the + button).
Check the bike has power and the battery is charged.
If it still doesn't work and you bought from us, get in touch with your order number.

Where can I get my bike repaired?
We don't have our own workshops. Most repairs can be done by any local bike shop or e-bike specialist – the bikes use standard parts for brakes, gears, tyres and chains.
If you bought from us and the problem is covered by warranty, get in touch first. We'll work out what's wrong from your photos and videos and send you the parts you need.

Does the bike come assembled? Can you build it for me?
The bike arrives mostly assembled. You just fit a few parts – usually the handlebar, pedals, front wheel and mudguards. Instructions and tools are in the box. Most people take 20–30 minutes; allow up to an hour if it's your first bike.
We don't offer an assembly service, but any local bike shop can do it for a small fee. Check the brakes and that every bolt is tight before your first ride.

Who pays for return postage?
Delivery to you is free. If you return the bike because you've changed your mind, the return postage is down to you. You can choose:
We collect it from your door. We book the collection and take £150 off your refund to cover it.
You send it yourself. You book and pay for a tracked, insured service to our warehouse. Nothing is taken off.
If the bike is faulty or we sent the wrong item, we cover the return. If the bike has been used more than needed to check it – ridden any real distance, dirty or damaged – we may reduce the refund to reflect the loss in value.
My bike was damaged in an accident. Is that covered?
Accident and crash damage isn't covered by the warranty. If you bought your bike from us, we can still sell you the parts you need. Get in touch with your order number, photos and a list of the damaged parts.
If someone else caused the accident, their insurance may pay for the repair – ask us for a parts price list for your claim.

Can I add lights, mirrors or other accessories?
Most standard bike accessories fit our bikes – lights, mirrors, bags and phone holders. Battery-powered lights are the simplest to add.
Lights that run off the bike's own battery must match its voltage, so we recommend having them fitted by a bike shop. Adding indicators or a number plate doesn't make the bike road legal.

Which display does my bike have?
S600 PRO and S700 PRO: Yolin colour display with a 5-button remote on the left handlebar: power, +, –, light and i (information).
S900 PRO: SW-K58 colour display (4.58 inch) with a 5-button SWK2 keypad: +, on/off, –/walk assist, light and i (info).
The buttons and settings menus are a little different, so always choose the guide for your model.
Power on/off: press and hold the power button. The display turns itself off after 10 minutes without use.
Assist level: short press + or – to choose level 0–5. Level 0 = no motor help.
Information: short press i to switch between total distance (ODO), trip (TRIP), maximum speed (MAX) and average speed (AVG).
Light: press the light button. The screen gets a little darker when the light is on. That is normal.
Walk assist (4 mph / 6 km/h): press and hold – while you push the bike, for example uphill. Press and hold – again or pull a brake to stop. Never use it while riding.
Cruise: while riding on the throttle at the speed you want, press and hold –. Press and hold – again or pull a brake to stop. Use it only on flat, quiet ground.
Please note: a 15.5 mph setting doesn't make the bike road legal in the UK, because the motor power stays the same. Our bikes are for private land only.

How do I switch off the throttle (pedal assist only)?
Change the drive mode in the display settings:
S600 PRO & S700 PRO: setting 10P
S900 PRO: setting P10
Values:
0 / 00 – pedal assist only. The throttle does nothing.
1 / 01 – throttle only. Pedalling gives no motor help.
Later start: setting 11P / P11 (sensitivity), higher = more pedal turns before the motor starts.
About the current limit (14P / P14): a lower value makes the bike weaker. Never set it higher than the factory value. Too much current can damage the controller or motor, and that is not covered by the warranty.
Write down or photograph the original values before you change anything.

Rear only: flat, firm ground. Saves battery and feels like a normal e-bike.
Both: hills, sand, mud, snow, heavy riders. Most grip and power.
Front only: rarely needed. Be careful on loose ground, the front wheel can slip in corners.
The S900 PRO has one rear motor (3000 W), so it has no motor switch.

How do I switch the display to mph?
Open the display settings and change 02P (S600 PRO & S700 PRO) or P02 (S900 PRO): 1 = mph, 0 = km/h. Most UK riders prefer mph.
On the S900 PRO the speed limit (P08) is always set in km/h, even when the display shows mph.

My display turns off by itself. Can I change that?
Yes. By default the display turns off after 10 minutes without use, to save battery. Change setting 04P (S600 PRO & S700 PRO) or P04 (S900 PRO). The value is in minutes. 0 means it never turns off by itself. Then remember to turn it off yourself.

S900 PRO: use setting P00 in the settings menu, if your display has it.
After a reset, check the speed limit (08P / P08) and units again. If the speed reading looks wrong after a reset, get in touch and tell us your model.
S600 PRO & S700 PRO: the total distance (ODO) is reset with setting 16P (01 = reset). The trip distance does not reset by itself when you turn the bike off.

Error codes – S600 PRO & S700 PRO
The code on the screen tells you which part has a problem. The bike will not drive normally until it is fixed.
E001 / E009 / Error09 – controller problem. Check the cable plugs at the controller.
E002 / E030 / Error10 / Error11 – communication problem. Turn off, check the display cable plug is clean and pushed in fully.
E003 / E024 – hall sensor (motor sensor). Check the motor cable plugs near the wheels.
E004 / E022 / Error08 – throttle. Check the throttle returns fully and its cable plug. If normal, the throttle may need replacing.
E005 / E025 / Error05 – brake. A brake lever is pulled or stuck. Check both levers spring back. If it stays, the brake lever sensor may need replacing.
E006 / E023 / Error07 – motor phase (motor cable). Check the thick motor cable and plug for damage.
The S700 PRO has the same motors, battery and tyres, with a lower frame: standover height about 40 cm / 15.7" (S600 PRO about 45 cm / 17.7") and seat height 80–102 cm (S600 PRO 83–100 cm).
Exact values can change between production batches. The product page always shows the current data.

Technical data – S900 PRO
Motor: 1 × 3000 W rear hub motor, 150 Nm
Battery: 60 V 35 Ah (2,100 Wh)
Range: 56–62 miles with pedal assist, 37–43 miles on throttle only (90–100 km / 60–70 km)
Top speed: 15.5 mph limited, up to 40 mph unlocked – private land only
Check the inside of the tyre for thorns, glass or wire before you fit a new tube.
Inflate to the right pressure.
Tube size: 26 × 3.0 (S600 PRO, S700 PRO). For the S900 PRO tell us your bike and we will tell you the exact size. Puncture-proof tubes or tyre sealant help a lot with fat tyres.
Both wheels on the S600 PRO and S700 PRO have a motor, so there is a cable to unplug. If you are not confident, a bike shop can do this.
Turn the bike off and take the battery out.
Turn the bike upside down on a soft surface (careful with the display).
Unplug the motor cable near the axle. Do not pull on the cable itself.
Rear wheel: shift to the smallest gear first.
Loosen the axle nuts or bolts (the S900 PRO front wheel has a quick release).
Take the wheel out carefully. Do not pull the brake lever while the wheel is out.
Put it back the same way. Make sure the brake disc sits in the calliper without rubbing, the torque washers are in place and the axle nuts are tight (rear 30–38 Nm).
Plug the motor cable back in, then test the bike slowly.

How do I check or replace the brake pads?
The bikes have hydraulic disc brakes. Check the pads regularly:
Replace them when the pad material is about 1 mm thick or less, or if the brakes squeal metal on metal.
Take the wheel out or use the calliper opening, remove the pad pin and slide the old pads out.
Push the pistons back carefully with a plastic tool, fit new pads and the pin.
Never pull the brake lever while the pads or the wheel are out.
New pads need a few gentle stops before they brake at full power.
Brake lever feels soft or goes to the handlebar? Do not ride. The brake may need bleeding, a job for a bike shop. Contact us if you need pads or need help with the right type.
Turn the bike off and take the battery out. Never plug or unplug the display while it has power.
Follow the cable from the display or throttle to the plug and unplug it. The S900 PRO display uses a 5-pin plug.
Loosen the clamp on the handlebar, fit the new part in the same place and plug it in.
Tighten clamps gently (S900 PRO display and keypad: about 1 Nm).
Put the battery back, turn on and check the settings (speed limit, units).
Only use a display or throttle made for your model. Others may not work with the controller. Contact us with your order number to order the right part.
The brake levers have a small sensor that switches the motor off when you brake. A replacement must be an e-bike lever with the same sensor and plug.
On hydraulic brakes the lever is connected to the brake hose, so changing it usually means bleeding the brake. We recommend a bike shop for this job. Contact us with your model to order the right lever.

How do I fit or replace the pedals?
Pedals are marked R (right) and L (left), on the sticker and on the thread.
Right pedal: tighten clockwise. Left pedal: tighten anti-clockwise.
Put a little grease on the thread and start by hand, so it goes in straight. If it does not turn easily, check you have the right side.
Tighten with a 15 mm wrench (about 35–40 Nm).
A pedal on the wrong side destroys the thread in the crank.
pedals fit pedals left right thread replace pedal fall offMaintenance & repairs
How do I adjust the handlebar?
Loosen the stem bolts with a 4 mm hex key.
Centre the handlebar and turn it to the angle you like.
Tighten the bolts evenly, a little at a time, to 8–10 Nm.

Hi, I'm Milo 👋 How can I help you today?📦 My order💳 How do I avoid payment problems?Good question! An e-bike is a big purchase, so banks check these payments extra carefully. A few tips and it goes smoothly:
1. Check your daily card limit. It must be higher than the price of the bike. You can usually raise it in your banking app in one minute. 2. Keep your phone in your hand. Your bank may ask you to confirm the payment in the app or with an SMS code. Confirm it within a few minutes. 3. Have a second card ready, in case the first one is declined. 4. Try Apple Pay or Google Pay, or the local payment method shown at checkout for your country. 5. Bank transfer always works. Your bike stays reserved until the money arrives.🚲 Help me choose a bike🔧 Technical help (settings, error codes)🛠️ Spare parts💬 Talk to a personWhich bike is right for me?Happy to help! Delivery is **free to mainland Great Britain** and usually takes **4–8 working days**, with tracking by email. Some Highlands, islands and Northern Ireland addresses cost extra. If it's not right, you have **30 days** to send it back. Not public roads, cycle paths or bridleways. Most of our riders use them on farms, estates, fields and private tracks.🔧 Technical help & error codesOf course.
