In a nutshell: for most riders, the S600 PRO is the one to go for – it handles working land, long days out and rough tracks all on one bike. The S900 PRO is for riders who mainly want off-road thrills and the most range on the throttle. Below, we put the S600 PRO vs S900 PRO head to head, so you can choose with confidence.
Both are seriously powerful. Both have full suspension and hydraulic brakes. And both come with free delivery from our UK warehouse in 4–8 working days. So the real question is simple: how do you plan to ride?

Who is the S600 PRO for?
Go for the Shengmilo S600 PRO if you want one e-bike that does everything well. It’s our most popular model for a simple reason: it suits the way most people actually ride.
A motor in each wheel
Most e-bikes have one motor. The S600 PRO has two 1000W motors – one in the front wheel, one in the back – so both wheels pull, like a 4×4. On steep banks, loose gravel and wet grass, that extra grip is the difference between getting to the top and spinning out halfway.
A battery that goes the distance
The new 1,200 Wh battery is 43% bigger than the original S600’s. In real life, that means fewer charges and longer days out. For realistic numbers, read How far can you really go on a 1,200 Wh battery?
Kind to your back
Full suspension and 26 × 3″ fat tyres take the sting out of ruts, roots and potholes. If you’ve got a dodgy back or tired knees, you’ll be glad of it after the first hour.
Ready to carry things
The S600 PRO comes with a sturdy metal rear rack for tools, feed or a rucksack, and its fat tyres stay stable with weight on the back. For bigger riders, our guide to the best electric bike for heavy riders explains what to look out for.
In short, the S600 PRO is the sensible all-rounder: checking fences in the morning, a woodland trail in the afternoon.
Who is the S900 PRO for?
Go for the Shengmilo S900 PRO if off-road riding and maximum range are why you want an e-bike in the first place. It’s styled on off-road motorbikes, and it looks every bit the part.
Its strengths are raw power and stamina. A 3000W rear motor with 150 Nm of torque gives punchy acceleration, and the 60V 35Ah battery holds 2,100 Wh – nearly twice the S600 PRO’s. Motorbike-style 19″ rims with 70 mm tyres, a dual-crown fork and a rear shock keep it steady over rough ground. There’s even a power-on password on the display, so nobody else can ride off on it.
It costs a bit more than the S600 PRO. If you spend most of your time on rough tracks, it’s worth every penny. For general use, though, the S600 PRO gives you more for less.
Hill climbing: which one pulls harder?
Power is what you feel on a climb. The S600 PRO pairs 2 × 1000W with 2 × 80 Nm of torque and handles slopes of up to 40°. With both wheels driving, it holds on in loose ground.
The S900 PRO has more raw power from its 3000W motor and climbs up to 45° – but only the back wheel drives. In mud, wet grass or loose gravel, the S600 PRO’s two-wheel drive often finds more grip. On firm, dry ground, the S900 PRO pulls harder.
Battery and range: which one goes further?
For many buyers, range settles it. The S600 PRO manages up to 37 miles on the throttle alone and up to 56 miles with pedal assist.
The S900 PRO goes further on the throttle: its 2,100 Wh battery gives 37–50 miles without pedalling. If you hardly ever pedal and like long rides, that’s its biggest plus.
Both batteries are rated for more than 1,500 charges. For tips on getting the most from yours, see our battery range guide.
Comfort: which one is easier on your body?
Both have full suspension, so bumps are soaked up at the front and the back. The S600 PRO adds 26 × 3″ fat tyres on top, which cushion the ride even more and grip well on sand, gravel and snow.
Riding position makes a difference too. The S600 PRO sits you upright and relaxed – ideal for longer rides. The S900 PRO feels more like a light electric motorbike, with a sportier position and a motorbike-style seat. Brilliant fun off-road, but less like a traditional bike.
Brakes and gears: what do they share?
Both bikes have hydraulic disc brakes on both wheels, and the motors cut out as soon as you pull a lever. Both use Shimano 7-speed gears, so you can drop to an easy gear for climbs and go up a gear on the flat.
Price: what do you get for your money?
The S600 PRO costs £1,349 and the S900 PRO £[S900 PRO PRICE]. Both come with free delivery from our UK warehouse in 4–8 working days and 30 days to change your mind.
For most buyers, the S600 PRO is the best value: two motors and a 1,200 Wh battery for under £1,350 is hard to beat. The S900 PRO asks a little more, mainly for its bigger battery, extra speed and off-road build.
Where can you ride them?
Both bikes are far more powerful than the 250W / 15.5 mph limit for normal electric bikes in Great Britain, so they’re for private land only – not public roads, cycle paths or bridleways. The GOV.UK electric bike rules explain the details.
S600 PRO vs S900 PRO: which should you buy?
Here’s an easy way to decide:
- A bit of everything, carrying tools or kit? Go for the S600 PRO.
- Muddy, wet or loose ground? Go for the S600 PRO – two-wheel drive grips better.
- Rough tracks, speed and maximum range on the throttle? Go for the S900 PRO.
- Still not sure? Go for the S600 PRO. It’s our most popular model because it suits the widest range of riders.
